Week 2

This week we watched a tv show called 'Life on Mars' and made notes on certain things like the characters, the icons and the mise en scene. After this, we watched another program, also created by the BBC called 'Casualty.' We made notes on this show as well, these programs re quite different. One being a crime drama and another being a hospital drama. We wrote an essay to compare the two shows and make comments on both of them.

Representation of Characters in Tv Dramas : Characters are always very over the top in dramas, especially comedy dramas because it adds extra humor. In the 'League of Gentlemen' All of the characters were very bold in their funny personalities and their strange clothes, they all spoke in a very bold and memorable tone of voice and their posture and their body language also had a comedy element to it.

Definition of a TV drama : Tv dramas can be short, built up of a couple of episodes or a long running series. There are a lot of genres in tv dramas like comedy's and sci-fi.
